During a 1964 "Live at the Limelight" broadcast Shep tells the story of his neighbor, Mr. Bruner, who undertakes the business of selling triangular donuts which he produces in his basement use a machine he bought. He then puts them on a cart and sells them through the neighborhood. They were so bad even the kids didn't like them, but no one had the heart to tell him.
